| Dr. Maghsud Solimanpur was born in Urmia on 1972 and currently is a full-time tenured Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Urmia University, Urmia, Iran. He has received his PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India on 2003 and was awarded as the outstanding student by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. He received both MSc and BSc degrees from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran on 1997 and 1995, respectively. He has published more than one hundred papers in different reputed international journals and different national and international conferences. His research areas of interest include optimization of manufacturing processes, location problem and facilities layout, cellular manufacturing, production planning, meta-heuristic algorithms and operations research.
