Khadijeh Hooshyari is an Assistant Professor of chemistry at Urmia University. She received her Ph.D. (2016) and MSc. (2011) degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) in Applied and Analytical Chemistry respectively, and BSc. (2008) degree in Applied Chemistry from Urmia University. She joined the Department of Chemistry at Urmia University in August 2019.

Hooshyari has a broad interest in developing the PEM fuel cells and Lithium-ion batteries components such as electrode and electrolyte materials, membrane and separator. Her Ph.D. dissertation was entitled "Preparation and characterization of high-temperature polymer electrolyte membranes based on polybenzimidazole and ionic liquids for fuel cell application", which was published as U.S. Patent on March 2018 with Application Number: 20180069257.

During her Ph.D. research with Professor Mehran Javanbakht at AUT, Hooshyari initiated the first general effort to manufacture and development of PEM fuel cell stack systems (100 W-1 kW). She is ISO/TC 197 (Hydrogen technologies) Secretary in Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI).

Hooshyari thoroughly respects and appreciates the power of interdisciplinary approaches and synergetic efforts. She is very interested in national and international cooperation.
