I have been working at Urmia University (Urmia, Iran), Department of Range and Watershed Management Engineering. As head of this department, I am working as Associate Professor in the field of watershed hydrology and remote sensing.

I supervised 38 master theses and I am presently supervising 8 master as well as 3 doctoral students as their supervisor/adviser. I published 25 papers in scientific and Peer-Reviewed Journals and about 40 Oral/Poster presentation in national/international conferences.

I completed my doctoral program in the University of Tokyo (2004-2008) and my supervisors were Prof. Toshio Koike and Prof. Yang Kun (Advisors: Prof. Taikan Oki and Prof. Kanae).

My research interests are: Watershed Hydrology and Remote Sensing, Water and Energy Balance, Land Surface Models, Spatial Modeling, Water Quality and Pollution, Climate Change Impact Assessment, Land Use Change and Impact Modeling, Land Surface Temperature and Evapotranspiration Prediction, and GIS/RS applications in Geo-sciences.
