I received my Ph.D. in physics-Optics from Institute for advanced studies in basic sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan-Iran in March 2007. During my Ph.D. I was working on Fresnel diffraction from phase objects especially phase strips. As an emerging application is to reconstruct of the phase profile of optical fibers and minute measuring of refractive indices (dispersion) of liquids.  Moreover, I spent a research opportunity in micro-optics design, application, and fabrication with Prof Jurgen Jahns in Fern Universitat-Hagen-Germany more than 5 months from January to June 2007. Introducing a new method for ultra-short pulse processing based on micro-optics element (retroreflector arrays) and a novel method for fabrication of binary and grayscale micro-optics elements were the output of the researching visit.

Since I joined Urmia University in March 2008, I started finding a novel way to develop Fresnel zone plate (FZP)-based element in order to optimize focusing and imaging features of FZP as well as its recently known function as an intensity and phase structuring element. To this end, novel FZP-based elements are (were) being introduced to shape an incident beam into annular, square, petal, spiral, light-armed so on, as well as to generate the desired array of such structured lights. Moreover, generating a variety of optical vortices or desired array of vortices using FZP-based elements are being studied and developed.
