Ghader Jalilzadeh-Amin was born in Bonab, Iran, in 1979. He received the DVM degree in veterinary medicine from the Urmia University, Iran, in 2004, and DVSc degrees in large animal internal medicine from the Urmia University, Urmia, Iran, in 2011.

In 2007, he joined the Department of Clinical Sciences, in the veterinary college of Urmia University, as a Lecturer, and in 2011 became a Master. Since April 2011, he has been with the Department of Clinical Sciences, Urmia University, where he was an Assistant Professor, became an Associate Professor in 2018. His professional research interests include infectious diseases, plant poisoning, and medicinal plant pharmacology and therapeutics effects, animal nutrition and his current projects include Effects of Mineral Dust Particles Originated from the Lake Urmia on Ruminants. Dr. Jalilzadeh-Amin is an assistant editor of the journal of Veterinary Research Forum (Vet Res Forum).
